Miscellaneous Protest Pics Banner Drop in St. Paul-Minneapolis, Minnesota, July 22, 2005 "We did two banner drops on Highway 35 during morning rush hour and Highway 94 during the evening rush. "I think we can bet several thousand people learned about the boycott for the first time on Friday, in the Twin Cities alone. From what I've heard about actions and press in other cities, it seems like public consciousness is rapidly growing about Coke's grave human rights violations in India and Colombia."
"On Monday, July 11, 2005, a dozen people gathered for half-an-hour starting at noon outside TIAA-CREF's offices in Boston's financial district. They were protesting and passing out informational fliers as part of the lead up to next week's TIAA-CREF annual shareholders meeting, where members of the Make TIAA-CREF Ethical Coalition will press TIAA-CREF, one of the country's largest pension funds, to divest from Coca-Cola, Wal-Mart and other corporations that do not do business ethically. Wal-Mart is well known for its exploitive labor practices, while Coke is guilty of a number of socially irresponsible practices, ranging from marketing junk food to children in the US to complicity with death squads in Colombia."
"Fluffy Spirit," aka United Church of Christ ordained minister Bob Stiles, seen here protesting at the Coca-Cola bottling plant in Downey, California, where Coke workers were sympathetic. "Fluffy Spirit" also protested at the nationally renowned All Saint's Episcopal Church in Pasadena, California, of which he is a member and on busy corners in Los Angeles. Bob is making a major effort to get churches, mosques and temples involved in the Stop Killer Coke Campaign. He would like others to join him in the effort and he can be reached at b.robls@verizon.net. Bob is also an excellent speaker who would speak to groups free of charge contact him at his email address.
